Those of you in the North West looking for a brilliant day out with the kids this half term should head on over to Sea Life at Blackpool.
The latest attraction Jurassic Seas features a brilliant range of educational and interactive activities and what could be better than prehistoric creatures AND seasides?? Match made in heaven for every kid! With a quiz trail, digging for fossils and hunting for skeletons it’s the perfect place to spend the day.
We checked the place out on Saturday with the kids and it’s a day out that got the thumbs up! As well as the awesome Jurassic Seas exhibition there’s all the usual Sea Life attractions.
We just loved the rock pool, getting hands on and up close and personal with the sea creatures from the rock pools was brilliant fun. My older kids 10 and 12, really enjoyed all the educational information that accompanied the aquariums and the chance to learn about the fish, sea creatures and the underwater environment.
Their favourite bit was the ray pool with the smiley fish, that look like weird floating ghosts, they were a big hit with the kids!
Sea Life Blackpool is absolutely packed with brilliant, fun things to do and learn about. It’s easy to spend a good few hours enjoying the place. And once you’ve finished exploring the aquariums there’s a fab adventure play area and pirate crazy golf to get stuck into.
If you visit during the school holidays up to 17th April 2016 Sea Life Blackpool are also offering a £5 discount to any children who bring along a dinosaur toy! For more information and tickets head over to the Sea Life Blackpool website.
