Now it’s March it’s officially Spring and we’ve got 31 ways that you can have a totally feel good March and welcome back the Spring with open arms!
1 – spring jam jar flowers
Spring jam jar flowers are one of my most favourite things! Just a small bunch of daffodils or tulips in a jam jar are super cheery.
2 – book a day off work
Pick a random day and book it off work – treat yourself to a full day of doing whatever you fancy – and if that’s a day sat in your PJs with a cup of tea and a book, fine. Or meeting up with friends for girly lunch then just do it and feel good about it!
3 – social media free day
Switch it off – don’t just check Facebook… flick through Twitter, or post that picture on Instagram – put down your phone and spend the day just living your life.
4 – don’t put it off
Got a little job you’ve been putting off? Then get it done today and tick it off your list of chores that make you procrastinate.
5 – make nice breakfast
Take time to make yourself something lovely for breakfast – pour your coffee, sit down at the table and really enjoy it. We really, really love cinnamon banana french toast – it’s a GOOD THING!
6 – family film night
Snuggle up on the sofa – get the popcorn… maybe a coke-float if you fancy a sugar fest. Enjoy watching a family film, something to make you all giggle.
7 – write a letter
Send a friend a card, for no reason other than just because it’s a nice thing to do.
8 – learn a yoga pose
Try out a simple yoga pose to start your day – there’s loads and loads of beginners yoga videos over on YouTube.
9 – beach trip
Visit the beach, get yourself a blast of fresh air and some seaside fish and chips – perfect little pick me up!
10 – wash your bedding & dry it outside
Pick a nice sunny day – strip the beds and once they’re washed – line dry them in the garden. Nothing beats the feeling of getting into a clean bed that smells of fresh air.
11 – go walking
Get outdoors and go for a really long walk in the countryside. Take the train to some place new, explore and enjoy the fresh air.
12 – try a new recipe
Pick up all the ingredients you need to cook up a new recipe – something you’ve never tried before.
13 – spring cleaning
Kick off your spring cleaning and start a total top to bottom thorough spring clean – grab our spring cleaning tips here.
14 – gardening
Get out into the garden and tidy up the winter debris – plan what you want to plan and just get on top of things ready for the summer months.
15 – random act of kindness
Sometimes it’s nice to be kind, it feels good inside.
16 – take-away night
Put your feet up, pour that glass of wine and order a take away to be delivered. We love a lazy night in.
17 – buy yourself a new book
Treat yourself to a new book – something you can curl up with and enjoy.
18 – indulgent hot chocolate
Whisk up a mug of totally indulgent hot chocolate. We love a creamy peanut butter hot chocolate… just so utterly delicious.
19 – pamper yourself
Treat yourself to a nourishing hair treatment or face mask, set aside time just for you for a little pamper session. Or even nip for a spa treatment if the budget allows.
20 – bake a cake
Get in the kitchen and bake a fabulous cake – try out our easy Easter creation.
21 – donate to the charity shop
Go through your wardrobe and pull out anything unwanted to donate to the local charity shop.
22 – bath time pamper
Treat yourself to a face-pack and some new bubble path and spend the evening pampering yourself.
23 – volunteer
Whether it’s spending an hour at the kids school listening to little readers, helping out at the PTA events or just giving your time to a local charity. It feels good to spend a little time giving something back.
24 – proper family Sunday dinner
Invite the family and cook up a proper roast dinner with all the trimmings, followed by a huge pudding and custard. Spend time sat around the table and chatting to those who mean the most to you.
25 – music evening
Chill out, put on some relaxing music, light some scented candles and just relax.
26 – don’t complain
Go through the whole day and don’t complain once.
27 – try meditation
Even just 5-10 minutes meditation a day can be beneficial – head over to Youtube or the app store and pick out a guided meditation to suit your lifestyle.
28 – dance
Get your favourite music on – perhaps create a feel-good playlist and just dance, don’t care who sees.
29 – learn something new
Start a new course, maybe visit a local museum or exhibition and learn about something new.
30 – plan your spring
Get together with the family and plan some great events for spring – maybe a party, days out, a spring BBQ… anything you want to fit in, make a note and make it happen.
31 – go walking in the rain
Slip on your wellies, grab your coat and go splash in the puddles – it’s fun, whatever age you are.
