Just cook it slowly, for around 35-40 minutes. This gives the fruit time to go jammy and the topping time to turn a rich golden colour.

Adding oats to the crumble topping make the crumble just extra delicious. Just stir them through gently with a spoon before scattering over your fruit filling. Get our crumble topping recipe here.

Yes, you can freeze apple crumble. You can either just freeze the apple filling, or you can freeze the entire unbaked crumble. To defrost leave it to thaw in the refrigerator over night and then once defrosted, bake in the oven on 180C for around 40 minutes.

When I reheat crumble in the microwave, I do it in individual portions. Cover with a microwavable cover and heat on high for around 3 minutes or until heated through properly. Then I leave to cool a little as the filling gets super hot in the microwave.
