Pear Crumble Ingredients
You'll only need a handful of wholesome ingredients to make this delicious pear crumble recipe

For the pear crumble filling
- Pears - we usually use Conference Pears, but you can just use any you have to hand, there's no rules. You need them to be just ripening, but not overly squishy. You can make this with Anjou pears or Bartlett pears if you prefer.
- Dark brown sugar - this is mixed into the pear chunks and gives them a love, rich sweetness as they cook.
- Spices - you can add a pinch of cinnamon or pinch go ground nutmeg to your pear mixture if you like.
For the pear crumble topping
- Plain flour
- Unsalted butter - at room temperature so it's easy to rub into the flour.
- Soft brown sugar - you can use caster sugar or dark brown sugar if you prefer.
- Ground almonds - this just adds a delicious flavour to the crumb topping. You can swap this for rolled oats if you prefer.
