Our Most Popular Alternative – Sweetcorn With Chilli And Garlic Butter
Equipment Needed
- Bowl
- Tongs – recommended, just helps to avoid burning yourself when turning over the corn cobs. We use silicone tongs, so that they don’t scratch the surface of the air fryer basket.
- Air fryer – we use a Tefal air fryer (little update – we’ve swapped to a Ninja Foodi Max Dual Zone Air Fryer – the 9.5 litre two drawer cooking space is BRILLIANT when you’re cooking for a family. And it makes cooking meat, chicken or fish and potatoes at the same time super easy!)
- Microwavable jug
- Weighing scales (or just estimate the butter quantity – it usually has 25g sections marked on the pack)
- Chopping board
- Grater
- Pastry brush
Air Fryer Corn On The Cob Ingredients
You’ll just need your corn cobs and a handful of simple ingredients to make the herby butter
- 6 corn cobettes – we use the mini cobettes you can pick up in packs at the supermarket, ready prepared just ready to cook. The cobettes are a great size for the air fryer too!
- 50g salted butter
- Handful of herbs – choose from flat leaf parsley, coriander, chives, basil, oregano or any other you like.
- 2 garlic cloves (you can swap this for a teaspoon of garlic powder if you prefer)
- 1/2 tsp piri piri seasoning or red chilli flakes – we use Schwartz Piri Piri seasoning

Step Two – make the garlic and herb butter
- Grate the garlic on the fine side of the grater so it’s like mush!
