Equipment Needed

  • Air Fryer – we now use a Ninja Foodi Max Dual Zone Air Fryer – the 9.5 litre two drawer cooking space is BRILLIANT when you’re cooking for a family or cook larger portions. Or just like to cook two different things on different settings at the same time!
  • Tongs  just makes it easier to lift the food from the air fryer basket. I’d 100% recommend you get yourself a set of silicone tongs if you do a lot of air fry cooking. They just make it so much easier to flip and remove food, without burning your hands. Plus they don’t scratch the air fryer non-stick coating.
  • Breadboard
  • Tablespoon
  • Cheese grater
  • Sharp knife
  • Two cocktail sticks

  • Soft flour tortilla wrap – we use white wraps, but you can change this to wholegrain, corn wraps or seeded if you like.
  • Hamshredded ham or packet ham snipped into pieces with scissors

How To Make Air Fryer Quesadillas

You’re going to love how easy these tasty cheesy ham quesadillas are to make, and just how GOOD they taste!

Step One – put the fillings into the quesadilla

  • Take your quesadilla and place it on a board.
  • Then add the grated cheese, scatter over the ham, then add more grated cheese on top, just add the fillings to one half of the wrap.
  • Next fold the wrap in half and press it together (just press down with your hand, so the ingredients stick)
  • Then brush both sides with olive oil, using a pastry brush. It’s a good idea to secure the quesadilla together using a couple of cocktail sticks, so that the swirling air in the air fryer doesn’t open it up as it cooks.
  • Then place the quesadilla into the air fryer basket.

Step Two – air fry the quesadilla

  • Set the air fryer to the air fry setting on 180C, and cook the quesadilla for around 3 minutes, then flip it over using the silicone tongs and continue to cook for a further 2-3 minutes or until it’s turning golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Step Three – serve the air fryer quesadilla

  • Remove the quesadilla from the air fryer using tongs and then slice into 2 or 3 segments. Serve with your favourite quesadilla dips or side dishes.

Tasty Tips From Our Kitchen To Make Your Air Fryer Quesadillas Perfect Every Time !

Fillings – when you air fry, the air whirling around the air fryer can lift the quesadilla apart. You can fix this by either using a squashy filling (like refried beans) which holds the two sides of the quesadilla together. Or, securing the quesadilla with a cocktail stick whilst you cook it.
