  • Sharp vegetable knife
  • Mixing bowl
  • Tablespoon
  • Serving bowl (or air tight container to store your red cabbage slaw in the fridge if you’re making this ahead of time)

Red Cabbage Slaw Ingredients

You’ll just need a handful of crunchy fresh veggies and a few spoonfuls of our homemade Bang Bang sauce to make a bowl of this flavour popping purple cabbage slaw!

  • 1/2 red cabbage – finely shredded
  • 100g radish – finely sliced
  • 2 carrots – scrubbed and chopped into matchsticks
  • 6 spring onions – sliced
  • Handful fresh coriander – roughly chopped

How To Make The BEST Red Cabbage Slaw

Our homemade slaw recipe is super easy, and you can have a bowl of this ready to eat in just 20 minutes.

Step One – prepare the vegetables

  • Place all the chopped and sliced vegetables into a large mixing bowl.

  • Then give them a toss together so that the red cabbage slaw is well mixed.

Step Two – add the bang bang red coleslaw dressing

  • Grab your jar of homemade bang bang sauce and scoop out 3 tbsp, tip this into the bowl with the chopped vegetables.

  • Give everything a good mix so that all the vegetables are coated in the delicious bang bang dressing. You want every mouthful of red cabbage slaw to burst with flavour!

Step Three – add in the chopped coriander

  • To finish, scatter in the chopped coriander to the red cabbage slaw and stir it though gently.

Want it a little fancier? Try adding in some finely chopped fennel or use rainbow carrots for a deeper purple slaw.

Like a little crunch? Top the homemade red slaw with crispy croutons. Simply cut cubes of bread, toss them with olive oil, salt, pepper and a little Italian seasoning and fry until crisp and golden. Then scatter over the top of your coleslaw.
