Make Chocolate Cornflake Cakes Your Way

We’ve given you a super easy way to make chocolate cornflake cakes – but there’s loads of ways you can give this recipe a twist and really make it your own flavour!

  • Add some marshmallows – remove around 20g of the cornflakes and tip in some mini marshmallows, these make a delicious addition to chocolate crackle cakes.
  • Add some cake sprinkles – once you’ve coated the cereal in melted chocolate and divided between the cake cases, sprinkle over some cake sprinkles, edible glitter or even some white chocolate sprinkles as contrast. You can even use sprinkles to match party themes – like unicorns, love hearts or Christmas sprinkles.
  • Use different chocolate – make these yummy crispy cakes using white chocolate or a mix of white and milk. You could even use flavoured chocolate like Chocolate Orange or make them with dark chocolate if that’s your thing.
  • Use different cereal – make the chocolate clusters using Rice Krispies, Shreddies or any other cereal you like.
  • Make Easter nests – hollow out a little space on top of the cornflake cake and tuck some chocolate mini eggs in the centre as a little Easter treat!
