Bring out the comfort food with a delicious vegetarian Holland’s Pie – put your feet up and have a cosy night in!
Let’s face it, cold, dark days, rain and blustery wind call for proper comfort food and there’s little better than a nice hot pie with too many chunky chips and a puddle of beans. Yep! Life is better with comfort food.
Comfort food the easy way
Comfort food for me is something easy, something really tasty and a total carb-fest. I want to do very little, I want it to just be easy to cook and I want to spend my time with my feet up in front of the TV eating. And being a Lancashire girl… pie is always my go to comfort food… it’s in the DNA!
Vegetarian Comfort Food
Proper Lancashire bakers Holland’s Pies have launched a new range of vegetarian pies – with Cheese & Veg, Wyke Farms Mature Cheddar Cheese & Onion and Vegetarian Mince & Gravy pie.
Holland’s Pies really do know a thing of two about pies – they’ve been baking them long enough – since 1851! That’s 168 years of pie experience to pop on your plate!
I know, I know… you really want a pie now don’t you? Like my gorgeous cheese & veg pie – perfect pastry case, stuffed full of vegetables in a creamy cheese sauce, and that pie needs to be snuggled up by some lovely chunky fat chips and nestled by a puddle of baked beans.
Do not fear the Hollands Pie Finder is here! You can use it to quickly search for your nearest stockist
And… they stock them all over the place – the chippy, the supermarket, the local convenience shop even stadiums – you’ll be enjoying one in no time!
Create your own comfort food evening
All you need to create your very own comfort food evening is your favourite Holland’s Pie, then you can add a side of chips or mashed potatoes if you prefer and dollop on a side of baked beans or maybe a little heap of pickled red cabbage.
Get your self on the sofa, get your feet up and tuck in. Life is hectic at this time of year and so I’m making Saturday my lazy dinner night with pie and chips!
