Comfort food for me is something easy, something really tasty and a total carb-fest. I want to do very little, I want it to just be easy to cook and I want to spend my time with my feet up in front of the TV eating. And being a Lancashire girl… pie is always my go to comfort food… it’s in the DNA!

I know, I know… you really want a pie now don’t you? Like my gorgeous cheese & veg pie – perfect pastry case, stuffed full of vegetables in a creamy cheese sauce, and that pie needs to be snuggled up by some lovely chunky fat chips and nestled by a puddle of baked beans.

Create your own comfort food evening
All you need to create your very own comfort food evening is your favourite Holland’s Pie, then you can add a side of chips or mashed potatoes if you prefer and dollop on a side of baked beans or maybe a little heap of pickled red cabbage.
Get your self on the sofa, get your feet up and tuck in. Life is hectic at this time of year and so I’m making Saturday my lazy dinner night with pie and chips!
