Step Two – add the chorizo and chicken

  • Next, tip in the chorizo and fry with the diced vegetables for a few minutes so that the lovely orange coloured paprika spiked oil is released into the pan.
  • Then tip in the diced chicken breast and fry until the outside of it turns from pink coloured to white.

Step Three – add in the tomatoes and seasoning

  • Tip in the canned tomatoes and Italian seasoning, then if you’re are using add a pinch of salt and black pepper.
  • Give everything a good mix together, then bring the sauce to the boil, then reduce the heat and simmer with the lid on for around 20 minutes, or until the chicken pieces are cooked through properly.

Step Four – cook the pasta

  • When the sauce has 10 minutes of cooking time left, put the pasta on to cook. Cook as per the packet instructions for around 8-10 minutes in boiling salted water. Then drain.

Step Five – finish off the creamy chicken and chorizo pasta sauce

  • Next add in the cream, stir it through the sauce and continue to cook for a couple of minutes.

Step Six – add the pasta, Parmesan and Basil

  • Tip the cooked pasta into the pan and stir well.
  • Then scatter over the grated Parmesan cheese and give everything a mix together. The Parmesan should melt deliciously into the sauce coated pasta.
  • Top the creamy chicken and chorizo pasta with the chopped basil and then serve straight away, enjoy!
