Creamy pesto pea dip

Super easy 3 ingredient pea dip recipe that’s a delicious way to include more vegetables in your diet. Serve with breadsticks, crudités or crisps.

I love how easy this dip is to make and how tasty it is!

It’s creamy, delicious and the kids love it served with fish fingers and chips. It’s a great garden peas recipe that you can whizz up in just minutes.

I like that it squeezes extra vegetables into our diet, which is always a good thing. I love it with beetroot crisps.

Pesto pea dip ingredients

  • 200g frozen peas
  • 100g cream cheese
  • 2 tbs pesto

How to make pesto pea dip

  • Cook the frozen peas – as per the packet instructions, then tip them into a colander and rinse under cold running water to cool them down fast.
  • Blitz ingredients in a blender – tip the peas, cream cheese and pesto into a blender and blitz to a smooth dip consistency – season with salt and pepper if you like.

Make pesto pea dip your way

  • Lower the fat content – switch the cream cheese for low fat yogurt to cut down on fat content.
  • Switch the pesto – skip the pesto and use a tsp of harissa paste or even a tsp of curry paste to flavour the peas up differently.
  • Make pea and mint dip – skip the pesto and add a tsp of mint sauce from a jar
