Super easy firework cookies that are perfect for Bonfire Night parties and celebrations. The kids will just LOVE making these sparkly cookie creations!

These easy firework cookies are just so simple, this is more of a cookie decoration activity for kids than an actual recipe but it’s fun, yum and not too much mess…. And these cookies are perfect for Bonfire Night parties.

You’ll need a pack of shop bought large cookies. Although you can make your own if you’ve time, just grab your favourite cookie recipe here.

My kids love to make these ready for Bonfire Night and they go really well with a creamy hot chocolate whilst watching the bonfire burn in the cold and dark.

Ingredients for Bonfire Night Firework Cookies

  • 8 large shop bought cookies – if you’re making your own cookies to decorate then our chewy white chocolate cookies are perfect for this recipe.
  • 120g white chocolate – I usually use Milky Bar
  • violet food colouring gel – be sure to use gel or powder when dying chocolate if you use liquid colouring it ruins the chocolate.
  • sparkly cake sprinkles – just choose whichever you like

How to make easy firework cookies

  • Break up the white chocolate into pieces and add it into a glass jug stood in a pan of boiling water, stir to help it melt.
  • Drop in the food dye gel and mix until you have the colour you want.
  • Drizzle over the cookies in a firework explosion pattern.
  • Sprinkle on the sparkly cake sprinkles.
  • Leave to set.
