HOW TO MAKE CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA IN THE SLOW COOKER
- Simply add the chicken, passata, tomato puree, onions, garlic powder, tikka masala curry paste, and a pinch of salt to the slow cooker pan. Mix well.

- Then cook on low for 5-6 hours or high for around 3 hours. I personally think chicken cooks best in the slow cooker on high, it keeps the chicken juicy.
lt's also worth remembering that all slow cookers cook at slightly different temperatures and food can be cooked more quickly or slowly than we've stated. So it's always best to check the internal cooked temperature of the chicken before eating. Use a digital food thermometer to do this.
- When the slow cooker chicken tikka masala is cooked, stir through the natural yogurt and the garam masala. Sprinkle with a little coriander (cilantro) if you've any to hand.

- Then serve with your favourite side dishes. (we love it with half rice, half chips, it's a thing!)

RECIPE TIPS AND INGREDIENT SWAPS
Add In Extra Vegetables - feel free to throw in any extra veggies you like, try adding in a can of chickpeas or lentils, add in some diced carrots or potatoes. Plus you could also add in some blocks of frozen spinach.
Use Chicken Thighs - you can make this recipe with skinless boneless chicken thighs if you prefer, either dice them up, or shred them into the sauce once the curry is cooked.
Swap The Yogurt - you can swap the natural yogurt for heavy cream or creme fraiche if you prefer.

LOVE YOUR LEFTOVERS
⭐ Leftover slow cooker chicken tikka masala can be cooled and stored in the refrigerator in an air tight container for use the next day. If I know I'm going to freeze this I take some out before I add the yogurt, then add the yogurt after I reheat it to eat.
⭐ You can use up the leftover chicken tikka masala in other ways than just serving with rice too. You could use it as a pie filling or to make our LUSH chicken tikka pasties here!
