How to make easy s’mores cookies

Our easy s’mores cookies are a great bake for kids to get busy with in the kitchen this summer.

These delicious chewy cookies packed with chocolate and melted marshmallows are just so gooey, delicious and moreish!  

S’mores cookies are perfect for summer picnics, lunch boxes or snuggled up with creamy hot chocolate watching the stars… this has to be my favourite way to eat them.

Best of all you can have a batch of these delicious gooey cookies ready in just 20 minutes!

Ingredients for easy s’mores cookies

  • 100g caster sugar
  • 100g butter – at room temperature
  • 1 tbs golden syrup
  • 180g plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 100g chocolate chunks – just choose the chocolate you like – plain, milk or white – there your cookies, make them as delicious as you like.
  • 50g mini marshmallows

How to make easy s’mores cookies

  • Preheat the oven to 180C and line a baking tray with greaseproof baking paper.
  • Mix together the sugar and butter in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  • Add the golden syrup and stir well.
  • Tip in the plain flour and baking powder – mix to make a crumbly mixture
  • Tip in the chocolate chunks and mini marshmallows – mix everything together.

  • Take ping pong sized balls of cookie dough and roll between floured hands to create a ball – place well spaced on the baking tray.

  • Bake in the oven for 10 minutes then leave to cool on the baking tray for 5-10 minutes before moving carefully to a cooling rack.

Make easy s’mores cookies your way

  • Switch the milk chocolate for white chocolate or even fudge pieces.
  • Sprinkle bashed up Graham crackers into the dough.
  • Dip half the cookie into melted chocolate for added deliciousness!

Super easy delcious s'mores cookies

Cook Time 10 minutes
Total Time 20 minutes


  • 100g caster sugar

  • 1 tsp baking powder 
  • 100g chocolate chunks
  • 50g mini marshmallows 


  1. Heat the oven to 180C and line a baking tray with greaseproof baking paper.
  2. Mix together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the golden syrup and stir well.
  4. Tip in the flour and baking powder - stir into a crumbly dough.
  5. Add the chocolate chunks and mini marshmallows - stir well.
  6. Take ping pong sized pieces of dough and roll between your hands into a cookie dough ball - place on a baking tray.
  7. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes - once cooked leave to cool on the tray for a while then move to a wire cooling rack
