This week I visited the gorgeous new Cook & Forager shop at Haigh Hall to pick up some delicious organic seasonal produce so the family meal plan is packed with delicious autumn dinner recipes that I just can’t wait to eat!

Monday – slow cooker bolognese
A nice easy lazy dinner for a Monday, made using minced beef, carrots, onions and tomatoes to pack in the vegetables.
I’m serving this in oven baked potatoes scattered with lots of grated Cheddar cheese.
Maybe a salad on the side.

Tuesday – beef, beer and pumpkin stew
Another slow cooker recipe, this stew is packed with melt in the mouth beef, chunky onions, carrots and pumpkins, simmered for hours in a rich beer flavoured gravy.
I’ll throw a few dumplings in too, for added yum!
Wednesday – vegetable chilli
This one is from the Veg Everyday River Cottage cook book, it’s easy and totally delicious.

Thursday – sausage rolls and homemade slaw

Friday – fish pie
I’m going to try out the Hairy Bikers Mum Knows Best Fish Pie recipe – it looks really easy and tasty.

Saturday – lancashire potato hash
Can’t beat a pan of this on a Saturday night, spoon it into dishes and dollop on the pickled red cabbage, beetroot slices and grab some crusty bread.

Sunday – roast chicken dinner
Roast chicken dinner with all the trimmings and probably a big syrupy pudding too.
