A weekly family meal plan just filled to bursting with proper feel good family food, perfect for feeding a busy, hungry family! This week there’s a definite comfort food vibe, well it is officially Autumn now, so I’m loading up on comfort.
Monday – Pendle Witch Pie
The recipe for this one will be on the blog soon – it’s a slowly cooked lamb stew topped with pastry. Whenever I visit Pendle it always makes me think of cooking up Pendle Witch Pie and I kinda think lamb, mead, root veggies would be the way to go.
Tuesday – Roast Veggie Soup with Grilled Cheese Dippers
I’ll be cooking up some easy roast tomato and red pepper soup and serving with grilled cheese dippers – easy and totally yum. Get the soup recipe here.
Wednesday – Sausage Traybake
Another recipe that’ll be on the blog shortly – I’m thinking chunky sausages, potatoes in their skins, maybe some apples or turnips, or both. All roasted up in the oven with sage, thyme and rosemary.
Thursday – Gnocchi with Bacon & Squash
Another new recipe – fluffy gnocchi tossed in garlicky butter and rosemary with roasted squash and crispy pancetta sprinkles… and definitely Parmesan.
Friday – Fish Finger Sandwiches
Can’t go wrong with fish finger sandwiches – we like to “posh” them up a bit – add some rocket, some wedges and some pesto pea dip. Get the fish finger sandwich recipe here.
Saturday – Cheeseboard
Mmmmmm my autumn cheeseboard has been playing on my mind since the last time I did one, it was just SO GOOD! I’m having to do it all again, it’s a great easy dinner for Saturdays, laid back and lovely. Get the cheeseboard shopping list here.
Sunday – Roast Dinner
Roast chicken dinner with all the trimmings – the kids total favourite dinner.
