The last meal plan of the old year and into the first week of the New Year. This meal plan is using up the last few leftovers from the festivities but with a big switch back to more simple food. Inspired by Nigel Slaters New Year Suppers there’s a few delicious recipes from him thrown into the mix.
The puy lentils and roast beef salad, the simple vegetable soup and the smoked salmon and bacon sandwiches – never thought of eating those two together before so I hope Nigel is right!
One of my resolutions for the New Year is to source a local fruit & veg box scheme who deliver seasonal fruit and veg so that I can cook as seasonally as possible – that’s the way I like to cook and eat. So my meal plans from here on in will be dependent on what’s in the box. I do like a little challenge!
