A weekly meal plan filled with easy to make, delicious family dinner recipes – the slow cooker is doing lots of the cooking this week – during the autumn and winter this is definitely my favourite way to make dinner.
Monday – Creamy Chicken & Chips
I’ll be throwing chicken thigh fillets, wine, garlic, mushrooms and shallots in the slow cooker – then stirring through cream at the end. I’ll be serving with Gastro Chips and green veggies.
Tuesday – Spicy Garlic Prawns
I’ll be frying up king prawns with fresh chillies and lemon and serving with french fries, garlic mayo dip and a bistro salad….. the kids are having fish fingers and mash!
Wednesday – Slow Cooker Sausage Casserole
Another slow cooker dinner – I’ll cook sausages, onions, celery and carrots with beef stock, cider and herbs. I’ll serve spooned into baked potatoes.
Thursday – Swedish Meatballs
I’m thinking… Swedish meatballs with tomato sauce and pasta OR I might make cheesy mashed potatoes, braised red cabbage and probably sticky onion gravy.
Friday – Pizza Express at Home
Easy dinner – I’ll cook a few pizzas, some garlic dough balls and make a big salad.
Saturday – Picky Bits
I’m thinking… either tapas OR an autumn cheeseboard – I’ll decide on Friday.
Sunday – Beef and Ale Stew
Another slow cooker recipe – stewing beef, carrots, celery, tomatoes, herbs and ale simmered slowly all day and served in bowls with crusty bread.
