It’s late summer, but still feeling fairly warm so I’ve really ditched the jeans and I’m now leaning more towards cute little dresses or play suits – but with easy to add layers in case it turns chilly.
Here’s my styling tips for an easy late summer outfit.
Casual Summer Dress
I purchased this cheap summer dress from PrettyLittleThing, it’s really casual and although neutral has a nice look to it and is really easy to dress up or dress down. The Khaki Triple Stripe Shoulder T Shirt Dress is only £15 so it’s a total bargain! The nude colour is so easy to wear and accessorise.
Denim Jacket
I usually like to pair this dress which a longish denim jacket, any denim jacket would be great with this dress – I feel like the nude colour of dress would also work well with darker blue and black denim. I wear the Tasha Mid Denim Jacket from FatFace. It actually belongs to my mum so it’s a slightly bigger size than what I usually wear BUT… the ‘oversized’ look works great for this outfit and it’s nice to be able to ‘borrow’ bits from her wardrobe to add to mine!
Shoes
For this type of casual look I almost always wear my black Old Skool Classic Suede Vans. Super comfy and always completes the casual look well. The black colour ties the outfit together and I think it looks amazing. Now I know they’re not the cheapest trainer and you could probably pick up a similar type of look for less. But I do LOVE them and they’re perfect for making the casual look – look good!
Accessories
I like to add a belt to this dress – just a simple nude belt works well – I’ve used my favourite Calvin Klein belt (because I LOOOOOVVEEE it) – it’s a narrow belt and works well for a casual or dressed up look. It just adds a touch of interest and finish. Again you could pick up a similar style belt for less at high street stores or supermarket fashion ranges.
