When my day has got off to a bad start or I’m feeling massively grumpy, it always makes sense to me to reset and start over. These are my five favourite ways to realign my day and make it instantly better.
They’re all quick things so you can fit them into even the most rushed, busy and rubbishy chaotic day, worth a try? I think so, and way better than spending all day in a total MOOD.
Get some – whether it’s five minutes in the garden, opening up all the windows as wide as they’ll go or getting outdoors for a walk. Even just getting off a stop earlier on the bus or parking the car further away from your destination a blast of fresh air and exercise is always a good thing.
Oh yes! Music up loud and just dance. I’ve gone one step further and created a “All of the Happy” play list, packed with songs I know make me feel good and energised.
Slice of cake and a cup of tea never fail to cheer up my day. If there’s a cafe involved then that’s even better.
Call up your friend, the one who’s always on your side, dish the dirt on your rubbish day and soak up that hit of moral support.
