Be sure to use the berries as per the packet instructions – some frozen berries can be eaten defrosted and some require cooking prior to eating – so always check the packet instructions.
Melt a knob of butter in a saucepan, tip in the frozen berries, add a couple of teaspoons of sugar or squirt of honey to sweeten. Maybe flavour with a dot of vanilla bean paste or sprinkle of cinnamon. Add a drop of water and cook until the berries are falling apart and squashy. Then blend to a smooth mixture. Serve spooned onto rice pudding, yogurt or cereal.

Whizz up a delicious frozen berry smoothie. Defrost the berries as per the packet instructions and whizz up into a smoothie with banana and yogurt.

Rub the butter into the flour using the tips of your fingers to mix – until it resembles breadcrumbs, then stir in the sugar and oats. Bake in the oven on 180C for around 20 minutes until the fruit is hot and squashy and the topping browning.
