We all know that summer means sandals, but with them come dry, cracked feet. The good news is that there are plenty of ways to get summer ready feet!
This guide will show you how to remove dry skin from your feet and moisturize them. We’ll also give you a few tips on how to keep your feet soft and smooth all summer long.
How To Get Summer Ready Feet
So we all want nice smooth feet, ready for slipping into those summery sandals and sliders. We’ve been trying out some great cracked heel cream, foot scrubs, foot cream and more to really give our feet a pamper!
Take Care Of Cracked Heels
Step One – Look after cracked heels
First up when getting feet summer ready is to deal with cracked heels. If you suffer from cracked heels, not only are they unpleasant to look at but they’re often uncomfortable and can even be super sore!
And if the cracks are deep then obviously there’s always the risk of getting an infection.
I’ve found the best cracked heel cream for me when treating cracked heels has been either Scholl Cracked Heel Repair Cream or Flexitol Rescue Heel Balm.
These both work very similarly and have usually take a 10-14 days to fix dry, cracked heels.
How To Get Rid Of Dry Skin On Feet
Step Two – exfoliate
Exfoliating feet using a foot scrub is the best way to remove and dry skin on the feet. We absolutely love the Palmers foot scrub and cream ranges.
They compliment each other perfectly – we tried out both and it really is just a matter of choosing the one that suits your feet.
If your skin is extra dry and really in need of some deep moisturising then opt for the Foot Magic Scrub and Cream.
Or if you just have a little dry skin then the Coconut Sugar Scrub and Coconut Water Moisturiser would be the better option.
Both the Palmers foot scrubs and foot creams were lovely to use and left feet feeling, smoother, with nice soft skin. The peppermint foot scrub is particularly lovely! It smells fresh and leaves feet feeling really soft.
To keep skin feeling smooth we found it was best to exfoliate with the foot scrub every few days and use the foot cream twice a day. And when we stopped using it, we did find that dry skin started to creep back!

Foot Cream For Soft Smooth Summer Ready Feet
Step Three – Moisturise for summer ready feet!
The best way to keep feet smooth and sandal ready is to moisturise at least twice a day. We tried out the following foot creams and moisturisers.
Hydrosil Turmeric Butter & Hypoallergenic Milk Salve – this is a great product for dry, itchy and eczema-prone skin, it’s smooth, quickly absorbed and we loved it’s key ingredient, donkey milk!
Donkey milk is high in amino acids and antimicrobial proteins, making it beneficial for dry and eczema prone skin.
This cream actually made a great hand cream too and was particularly good when smoothed on irritated skin.
Lyonsleaf Calendula and Marshmallow Balm
This is more of a waxy, greasy product than a cream. It’s nice to apply, smooths onto skin and absorbs quickly. It’s ideal for using on small problem areas rather than the whole foot.
Palmers Coconut Oil Formula With Vitamin E – Coconut Water Foot Cream
This one came as part of a set with a foot scrub and also a bottle of coconut foot oil. This little foot care collection was our favourite. Really nice to use and the three products combined left feet feeling really pampered and definitely summer ready!
Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula With Vitamin E – Foot Magic Cream
Again – a lovely product, really deeply moisturising and left the skin feeling soft, smooth and lovely!
Summer Ready Feet – Summer Toes!
It just wouldn’t be summer without a little splash of nail varnish on our pampered toes! And once you’ve exfoliated, moisturised and generally looked after yourself, adding some colour to your toes just finishes the look.
Self care is a good thing!
