I'm sure we can all agree that halloumi is the god of cheese! And there's nothing better than hot, salty halloumi with a crispy crumb, dunked in a tangy tomato chilli dip. It's the stuff of dreams!

Equipment Needed For Making Air Fryer Halloumi Fries
- Air Fryer – we use a Ninja Foodie Max Dual Zone Air Fryer - the 9.5L capacity model
- Chopping board
- Knife
- Tablespoon
- Teaspoon
- Tongs - I'd recommend getting a set of silicone air fryer tongs - they're excellent for flipping and removing food, help stop you burning your hands, and they don't scratch the air fryer non-stick coating either.
- 2 shallow bowls

Ingredients For Halloumi Fries Air Fryer Recipe
You'll only need a handful of ingredients to make these delicious little halloumi sticks, and we'll add swaps below too!

- 225g halloumi cheese
- 100g bread crumbs (approx. 6 tablespoons) we buy these dried in a pack ready to use, but you can swap these for homemade, gluten free, wholemeal, or just stick to plain flour if you prefer.
- 1 tablespoon cornflour
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds - these just add a tasty crunch, you can skip them, or swap for any other seeds you like.
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika - you can swap this for plain paprika, curry powder, cumin, or add in any dried herbs you like.
- 1 egg - beaten
- Olive oil spray
How To Make Halloumi Fries In The Air Fryer
It's really easy to make these lovely cheesy halloumi sticks in the air fryer!
Step One - mix up the air fry halloumi fries crispy coating
- Tip the breadcrumbs, sesame seeds, cornflour and smoked paprika into a bowl. No need to add salt, halloumi is salty enough.
- Use a spoon or your finger tips to mix the crumb coating together.

Step Two - make the halloumi fries
- Slice the halloumi block into chips.
- Dip each chip into the beaten egg, then roll in the crumb coating.


Step Three - air fry the halloumi fries
- Spritz the air fryer basket with a little olive oil spray, then lay the halloumi fries into the air fry baskets, space them well. Spritz them with a little more olive oil.

- Air fry them on 200C for 8 minutes, turn them over using tongs after around 4 minutes so they cook and brown more evenly.
Step Four - serve the air fryer halloumi fries
- Remove the halloumi fries and serve with your favourite dips. It's one of the BEST halloumi recipes
