We just LOVE this tasty but super simple Halloween appetizer. A fun little snack to serve with drinks this Halloween.

Give your Halloween party food a grown up Italian twist with our scrumptious eyeball bruschetta.

These fun little nibbles will be a huge hit.

You can make them using circles of sourdough bread or slices of French baguette.

Bruschetta is always a great little appetizer and they’re just so simple to make. You can literally make up trays of these in no time and even get the kids to help out too.

Gruesomely delicious….and no eyeballs were used in the making of this yummy snack so you can serve it to Halloween loving vegetarians too!

Halloween Appetizer Ingredients

  • French baguettes – or use a sourdough loaf cut into circle eye shapes
  • Garlic cloves – peeled and left whole – they’re for rubbing over the toasted bread.
  • Mozzarella cheese – buy the long sausage shaped mozzarella and slice into thin circles
  • Black olives
  • Jar of chargrilled red peppers – cut into slivers ready to use as eyeball veins.
  • Olive oil for drizzling

How to make our Halloween appetizer eyeball bruschetta

  • Cut your bread into circles and lightly toast
  • Rub the toasted bread with raw garlic cloves this just leaves a lovely garlicky flavour on the bread.
  • Add a thin slice of mozzarella, top with a black olive and add strands of red pepper as veins.
  • Drizzle with just a little olive oil for that authentic Italian vibe.
  • Arrange on platters and serve

Ingredients

  • French baguette - 12 thin slices 
  • 2 garlic cloves 
  • 250g mozzarella cut into thin circles 
  • 12 Black olives
  • 2 chargrilled red peppers from a jar
  • 1 tbs olive oil

Instructions
