We love Halloween here at Daisies & Pie and we’re always on the look out for spooktacular recipes that would be perfect for celebrating in style.
Halloween party drinks need to be spooky, they need to look like a freshly brewed magic potion and they need to taste good!
We’ve brewed up a batch of this sweet little magic forbidden buttery beer, which my little witches gave a big thumbs up to! It’s like drinking pure caramel, totally yum! In fact… we’ve whipped up another batch of the caramel sauce and used it to top ice-cream.
It’s super easy, super fizzy and super yum. First you make a delicious caramel sauce, melting the margarine, brown sugar and cream and bubbling everything together.
Then once the caramel has cooled to room temperature you pour it into a large pitcher and top up with cream soda.
The spooky little drink will serve 7 witches or wizards…
A fabulous little drink that's perfect for Halloween parties
- 85g margarine
- 150g light brown sugar
- 125ml double cream
- 1.5 litres cream soda
- Bring the margarine, brown sugar and cream to the boil in a saucepan over medium-high heat stirring constantly. Once boiling reduce the heat to medium and simmer, stirring frequently for 3 minutes to make a caramel sauce. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
- Combine cream soda with caramel sauce in a large pitcher. Pour into glasses and serve.
And… if you’re throwing a Halloween party, don’t forget to get the kids involved in a little Halloween crafting and make your own decorations for the big event. For these easy craft projects and more, visit our Celebrate Halloween section.
