It’s a super Halloween craft for preschoolers as it’s so simple, younger kids will need a little help cutting out the handprints or this can be done by an adult.

What You Need To Make Our Spider Halloween Handprint Craft
- Large sheets of white paper (the big rolls of paper you can buy from places like IKEA are great for this – or buy a roll of lining paper from a DIY store.
- Black paint – you could make multi coloured spiders, you don’t have to stick to black.
- Shallow plate – to hold the paint, so make it big enough for little hands to press into the paint.
- Scissors
- Glue – sticks or pots of glue, whichever you prefer.
- Stick on craft eyes – be careful not to use ones that are too tiny and supervise children carefully so they don’t put them in their mouths. As they can be a choke hazard. You could if you prefer just draw on the eyes afterwards.

How To Make Our Spider Halloween Handprint Craft
- Cut a large piece of paper off the roll – and spread it flat on the table.
- Squirt a good dollop of black paint onto the plate.
- Let the kids make handprints all over the paper.
- When the handprints are dry – cut them out
- Stick two handprints together to make a spider body with legs.
- Stick on the eyes – or draw them on if you’re not using the goggly eyes
How To Display Your Halloween Handprint Craft
- You could hang these down on threads from the ceiling or doorways.
- Simply thread with cotton for a unique spider bunting decoration – ideal for kids Halloween parties.
