Bathroom sealant drives me crazy!!! I use the mould resistant sealant, I clean it daily and yet STILL within literally weeks of it being re-sealed it starts to get the black mould spots and once they start they just take over and it ends up a MESS.
I’ve tried loads of products which claim to remove black mould and up to now nothing has worked and I end up resealing and starting the whole circle again!
So… I’d seen cleaners over on Facebook raving about how well the Cillit Bang Black Mould Remover works and YES I was sceptical because I’ve tried so many products before, but as it was only£2 a bottle I thought I’d give it a go.
Here’s the before photo – disgusting huh?! And totally overdue a re-seal! But resealing the bath is definitely one of those to-do jobs that keeps getting bumped down the to-do list!
And here’s the after!
I used the Cillit Bang Black Mould Remover – 3 times and left it on for around 20 minutes a time which is 15 minutes over the recommended time in the instructions.
I wore gloves and rubbed the black mould gently with a cloth after I’d left it to soak in, then rinsed it well with the shower. Also – I had the windows and doors open wide as it smells really strongly.
I’m very impressed with how well it worked! Seriously it’s saved me having to reseal. The mould just wiped off! I think I’ll be using it once a week on the bathroom sealant just to keep on top of it and stop the black mould from coming back again.

I chose to ignore the instructions on the Cillit Bang bottle and leave the cleaning solution on for longer than stated which worked for me. The Cillit Bang bottle contains all the warnings and instructions for use on the back for you to read and follow yourselves.
