How To Clean The Kitchen In Five Minutes
Here’s how to clean the kitchen in five minutes and everything you need to make our cleaning plan manageable!
I always do these three things before beginning my 5-minute kitchen cleaning routine.
When I do them, I feel more energetic and happier to clean. Regardless of what I’m doing, I think it’s important to feel good about doing it!
Before you start the five minute bedroom clean – do these 3 things!
- Open the windows wide – fresh air will make your kitchen smell fresher, and get rid of any cooking smells.
- Turn the music up loud – it’s good to sing and dance as you clean, it’s a mood booster!
- Set my timer for 5 minutes – and when that timer goes, I stop!

Five Minute Cleaning Checklist For The Kitchen
Here’s how to clean the kitchen in 5 minutes and in a 5 minute blitz of the kitchen I can usually zip through the chores below
- Wipe down kitchen counter tops - I usually clean the worktops down with Dettol multi-surface cleaner. Spray, then quickly wipe down with paper kitchen roll.
- Clean the kitchen sink - give the kitchen sink a quick clean, just using a small squirt of washing up liquid and a cloth, scrub, rinse, buff with a dry cloth.
- Wipe the fridge handle - fridge handles can be a real germ hotspot in the kitchen. A quick wipe with antibacterial spray and some paper kitchen roll, just helps keep things clean.
- Load the dishwasher/put away clean pots - a kitchen looks instantly cleaner if you move any pots that are hanging around on work tops.
