Frozen Hash Browns In The Air Fryer
Updated: April 2026
Air fryer breakfast doesn’t get much easier than cooking frozen hash browns in the air fryer.
In just 12 minutes, you can cook crispy golden hash browns that are crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside.
They’re perfect for:
- quick school morning breakfasts
- lazy weekend brunch
- serving with a full English breakfast
- breakfast wraps or breakfast baps
We usually serve ours with scrambled eggs and baked beans, but they’re just as good alongside sausages, bacon or grilled tomatoes.

Step 1 – Add The Hash Browns
Place the frozen hash browns into the air fryer basket in a single layer.
Avoid stacking them because this prevents them from crisping properly.
Most air fryers will fit 5–6 hash browns at once depending on basket size.
You can lightly spray them with olive oil if you want extra crispiness, but it isn’t necessary.

Step 2 – Cook The Hash Browns
Cook the frozen hash browns on the air fry setting at 200°C / 400°F for 12 minutes.
Halfway through cooking (around the 6 minute mark) flip the hash browns using tongs.
