What You’ll Need To Make A Magic Wand
You’ll just need a well chosen stick and a handful of craft supplies to make your own homemade wands.
We love to incorporate our little magic wand craft into a whole series of magical crafts, stories and adventures. This craft goes especially well with “Room on the Broom” book.
So we go on a magical adventure through the woods to search out the perfect sticks for wand making.
- sticks – pick them up from the woods
- paint – just choose your colours – we’ve used blues, purples and blacks.
- strips of coloured material – different textures and colours works best as it adds more interest.
- ribbon – again, choose different colours and fabrics.
- scissors
How To Make A Magic Wand
Kids will just love making wands it’s a lovely craft for Halloween or anytime!
- Paint your sticks using the coloured paint – you can choose whatever colour scheme you like – we’ve gone for purple & blue.
- Leave the magic wands to dry. If you want them to be water-proof you need to add a layer of varnish once the coloured paint has dried.
- Place the fabric strips in a small pile. Then tie them to the wand using ribbon.
That’s it! You are ready to go off and cast spells.

Materials
