Try our tasty sticky Ground Beef Stir Fry with rice for a simple and fast weeknight meal. It’s incredibly easy to prepare and cook.

This is one of our favourite easy ground beef recipes. It’s super simple to cook and tastes just so good!

We top this with a fried egg, one with crispy edged whites and a runny yolk. It just makes the dish extra special and so flavoursome.

We love that this recipe just gives us a totally different way to serve ground beef. Which is a staple in most family homes! It makes a tasty change from the usual cottage pie, spaghetti bolognese or chilli con carne.

Ingredients For GROUND Beef Stir Fry

To make our easy Mince Beef Stir Fry you’ll just need a handful of ingredients – the toppings are optional but they really add extra taste!

For the GROUND BEEF stir fry

  • Olive Oil – you can swap this for sunflower oil or rapeseed oil if you prefer
  • Brown Onion – finely diced
  • Garlic – finely grated
  • Ground Beef
  • Chilli Flakes – add less if you prefer a less spicy dish
  • Soy Sauce
  • Honey

To serve with your minced beef stir fry

These toppings are optional, just add the ones you like, we love them all!

  • Medium Eggs – and sunflower oil to fry them
  • Spring Onions – finely sliced
  • Coriander – roughly chopped
  • Green Chilli – finely sliced
  • Sesame Seeds

How To Make Ground Beef Stir Fry

You’ll love how simple this Minced Beef Recipe is to throw together. Great for a busy midweek night.

Prep Time – 5 minutes / Cook Time 20 minutes (approx)

  1. Fry the onions and garlic – Add the olive oil to the frying pan over a medium heat. Then tip in the onions and cook for a couple of minutes, before adding the garlic and continuing to fry for a further 2-3 minutes.
  1. Tip the ground beef into the pan along with the chilli flakes. Break the ground beef up using the cooking spoon. Fry the ground beef with the onions and garlic for around 3-4 minutes or until it browns.
  1. Add the soy sauce and honey to the beef mince.
  2. Then stir fry over a medium- high heat – for around 10-15 minutes or until the minced beef cooks through and the honey turns deliciously sticky.
  3. Cook the microwave rice as per the packet instructions.
  4. Serve – divide the rice and sticky beef mince between the bowls and scatter over the delicious toppings, and slide on a fried egg. Then eat immediately, it’s far too good to wait.

Ground Beef Stir Fry

A totally delicious sticky ground beef stir fry recipe thats quick and easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 brown onion - diced
  • 3 cloves garlic - finely grated
  • 1lb ground beef (500g)
  • 2 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey

Instructions

  1. Add the olive oil to the frying pan over a medium heat. Then tip in the onions and cook for a couple of minutes, before adding the garlic and continuing to fry for a further 2-3 minutes.
  2. Tip the minced beef into the pan along with the chilli flakes. Break the mince up using the cooking spoon.
  3. Fry the minced beef with the onions and garlic for around 3-4 minutes or until it browns.
  4. Add the soy sauce and honey to the beef mince.

  6. Serve with rice and your chosen toppings.

Notes

Use different minced meat - Try the recipe using chicken or turkey mince, or even pork mince would work well with this dish.

Use stir fry sauce - Switch out the soy sauce, honey and chilli flakes for your favourite stir fry sauce - Szechuan or a Sweet Chilli sauce work really well with beef mince.

Use noodles - Skip the rice and grab some straight to wok noodles, add them towards the end of the recipe and cook through properly.
