Making a mood board is a great way to throw together your ideas for interiors, themes or dreams.
And this modern Art Deco bathroom mood board is ticking the dream box for me. I’ve been thoroughly in love with Art Deco style since visiting Coleton Fishacre many years ago. The stunning country retreat of the D’Oyly Carte family tucked away in Kingswear, Devon. A beautiful 1920s house set in amazing gardens that amble right to the sea. This place is a dream and if you’re ever nearby you should throw yourself into a visit there – you won’t want to leave.
Anyway… jumping right back to bathrooms, this beautiful bathroom suite Watermark from Bathstore designed by British designer Philip Allen gives the Art Deco feel I love but with a softer more comfortable edge. Now if only I could push my bathroom walls outwards to create a little more space to fit it in!
I like to mix my design styles up so with a vintage style suite I’d want a little modern accessorising and where better to look than IKEA of course. The clear perspex GODMORGON storage boxes look fresh and modern and echo the Art Deco lines of the bathroom suite. Again from IKEA the GUNNERN powder coated steel cabinet with mirror gives me modern but keeps the Art Deco lines I like.
Add a little vintage with these bath blocks from White Shore and give a clean relaxing spa style feel with this range of Natural Greystone bathroom accessories such as soap dish, lotion dispenser and bathroom beaker from The Range.
