How To Make Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate

You’ll simply love how easy this decadent peanut flavoured hot chocolate is to whip up.

Step One – add the ingredients to the saucepan

  • Take your deep saucepan and add in the salted peanut butter and mix into a smooth silky paste using the double cream, just add a little cream at a time, mixing well as you go so that you get a really smooth creamy peanut paste.
  • Then stir in the hot chocolate powder and whisk in the milk, a little drop at the time, really slowly, mixing really well so you keep the peanut butter milk drink really smooth and creamy.

Step Two – warm the hot chocolate slowly

  • Then warm the indulgent hot chocolate slowly and gently without allowing to boil and serve in little cups sprinkled with grated dark chocolate.

Make Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate Your Way…

  • You could decorate your warm drinks with some added marshmallows
  • For an extra special drink scatter over some edible glitter along with the chocolate shavings
  • For the grown ups only you could add a shot of rum…

Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate Vegan

You can make a vegan version by switching out the cream and milk for vegan alternatives.

You also need to swap the hot chocolate powder for cocoa powder and add some sugar to taste once the drink is ready to serve.

We like the Oatly oat milk and Oatly creamy oat cream for this recipe, they blend super well with the peanut butter.
