You can make these quick and easy Pitta Pizza in just 10 minutes using shop bought pitta breads, and your favourite pizza toppings.

For a really quick and simple meal idea for the kids tea, try out our easy pitta bread pizzas. You can top these with your favourite pizza toppings, then grill and they’re ready to eat in less than 10 minutes!

You could even get the kids involved and let them make up their own pitta pizza recipe creations!

It’s the perfect solution for when you’re short on time and want to enjoy a hot and tasty pizza without having to spend hours making and waiting for pizza dough!

  • Baking tray
  • Spoon
  • Grater – if you’re not buying ready grated cheese
  • Fish slice or spatular
  • Bread board or chopping board
  • Pizza cutter or knife

Pitta Pizza Ingredients

You’ll only need four ingredients to make our super easy pitta bread pizzas

  • 4 pitta bread
  • 100g grated mozzarella – we usually buy this in bags ready grated
  • 40g pepperoni slices

How To Make Pitta Pizza

It’s super easy to make our little pitta pizza bread recipe, they’ll be cooked and on the plate in no time!

Step One – preheat the grill

  • Preheat the grill to high

Step Two – put the toppings on the pitta pizzas

  • Lay the pitta bread onto the grill pan or baking tray
  • Spread each pitta bread with tomato pizza sauce.
  • Sprinkle on the grated mozzarella cheese
  • Top with the pepperoni slices – you want these on top of the cheese so that they sizzle and crispy up under the grill.

Step Three – grill the mini pizzas

  • Slide the pizzas under the hot grill and cook for around 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is bubbling and melted and starting to brown.

Step Four – serve the pitta bread pizzas

  • Gently lift the pizzas from the grill pan/baking tray and serve.

More Pitta Pizza Toppings To Try

You can make these mini pizzas with whatever toppings you like, we’ve popped some tasty combinations below!

  • Extra cheesy – just load on your favourite three cheeses – Cheddar, mozzarella, chilli cheese, feta, provolone all work great together.
  • Chicken – add on a sprinkling of chicken, be sure to chop it thinly/small pieces and reheat it throughly under the grill.
  • Ham and pineapple – top your pitta with this tasty combo, we love this with a squirt of BBQ sauce too!

Cooks Note! You can also swap the base sauce, if you don’t like tomato sauce, then use pesto, ketchup or BBQ sauce in its place.

Ingredients

  • 4 pitta breads
  • 200g pizza sauce
  • 100g mozzarella grated
  • 40g pepperoni slices

Instructions
