Just taking a packet of cooked king prawns and some of your favourite salad vegetables is a quick and easy way to make a simple summer lunch.

Our king prawn salad recipe with zesty lemon mayonnaise dressing takes just minutes to throw together and looks pretty gorgeous on the plate too!

Prawn Salad Ingredients

You’ll just need a handful of fresh and tasty ingredients to make this simple prawn salad recipe

  • 80g salad leaves – a baby leaf salad mix is good for a shrimp salad.
  • 1/4 cucumber – sliced into rounds
  • 6 radish – sliced into thin discs
  • 200g king prawns – cooked and ready to eat
  • zest and juice of half a lemon
  • small bunch of basil leaves – chopped or torn
  • pinch of salt and black pepper

  • Chopping board
  • Sharp vegetable knife
  • Salad platter
  • Small bowl
  • Lemon juicer
  • Tablespoon
  • Teaspoon
  • Grater

How To Make Prawn Salad

One of our favourite easy prawn recipes! So quick and simple to make!

Step One – prepare the salad

  • Wash and dry the salad vegetables – then scatter over the salad platter.

Step Two – add the prawns

  • Scatter the cooked king prawns over the salad.

Step Three – mix up the dressing

  • Add the mayonnaise to a small bowl and pour in the lemon juice and tip in the lemon zest. Give it a mix together with a teaspoon.

Step Four – serve the healthy prawn salad recipe

  • Drizzle over the dressing just before serving, then finish by scattering over the chopped basil leaves and seasoning with salt and black pepper to taste.

Feel free to make changes to the prawn salad and add in any bits you fancy!
