Equipment Needed

  • Air Fryer – we now use a Ninja Foodi Max Dual Zone Air Fryer – the 9.5 litre two drawer cooking space is BRILLIANT when you’re cooking for a family or cook larger portions. Or just like to cook two different things on different settings at the same time!
  • Tongs – just makes it easier to lift the crumpets from the air fryer basket. I’d 100% recommend you get yourself a set of silicone tongs if you do a lot of air fry cooking. They just make it so much easier to flip and remove food. Plus they don’t scratch the air fryer non-stick coating.
  • Chopping board
  • Knife for the cheese
  • Saucepan - if you're serving with baked beans

How To Air Fry Crumpets - Step By Step Instructions

You're going to just LOVE how easy these cheesy crumpets are to air fry!

Step One - load up your crumpets

  • Butter the crumpets, then top with the sliced Cheddar cheese.

Step Two - line the air fryer with foil

  • Now, when it comes to making a quick snack, we want the clean up to be quick too! So line the basket with a sheet of tinfoil, make sure it goes a little up the edges too, this will catch any melted cheese or butter.

Step Three - air fry the cheese crumpets

  • Lay the cheese topped crumpets onto the sheet of foil in the air fryer basket.
  • Air fry at 200C for around 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbling.

Cooks Note - whilst the crumpets are air frying if you're serving with beans warm these up now.

Serving Suggestions

My kids love these with beans and sausages for dipping. But you could serve them with boiled eggs, topped with poached eggs or just as they are.
