A super easy red pepper hummus recipe – this flavoured hummus recipe is delicious as part of a mezze spread.

We just can’t get enough of this easy red pepper hummus recipe. A healthy dip that’s packed to bursting the delicious sweet flavour of roasted red peppers.

Not only is it great as part of a mezze spread or with tapas, it’s also great on sandwiches and wraps.

Or eat it as a dip for crispy potato wedges, tortilla crisps or vegetable sticks.

It’s also a great way of getting reluctant veggie eaters to eat some!

Makes a great lunchbox recipe and is perfect as an after school snack or as a party dip.

Red Pepper Hummus Ingredients

Our red pepper hummus is made of a combination of easy to use store cupboard ingredients.

  • 400g tin of chickpeas
  • 2-3 chargrilled red peppers (from a jar)
  • 1 small clove of garlic – finely chopped
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 1 tbs olive oil
  • pinch of salt

How To Make Red Pepper Hummus

You are going to just LOVE how quick and easy it is to make homemade hummus. We like it more than shop bought!

  • Add all the ingredients to the food processor – tip the chickpeas, chargrilled peppers, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil and a pinch of salt into the food processor.
  • Blend until smooth – blitz the ingredients together until you have a smooth hummus consistency.
  • Tip into a serving bowl – and serve with your favourite dippers!

We like to add a sprinkling of topping onto our homemade hummus recipes.

Tasty ideas to try are – a pinch of smoked paprika, toasted pine nuts, whole chickpeas, toasted sesame seeds or even just a drizzle of olive oil.

Super quick red pepper hummus - perfect party dip

Ingredients
