Salt And Pepper Chips Air Fryer Recipe
Use the air fryer to cook up a batch of our AMAZING salt and pepper chips with chilli sauce. These are so good, you won't want eating them to end!
Our air fryer salt and pepper chips recipe is just delicious! Great for a weekend dinner, when you want to make something just a bit extra nice!
I usually make these with sticky chilli chicken, slow cooker meatballs with garlic and chilli sauce or just with some spicy air fryer halloumi.
Making our homemade salt and chilli chips in the air fryer is a total dinner win! Here’s why!
- The air fryer costs less than the oven to use, as it’s only heating a tiny space in comparison, so it’s saving money on fuel!
- Our air fryer chips are healthier than take out chips as we only use a small amount of olive oil, we don't deep fry.
- You can add or sprinkle in any extras you like – like more herbs, more chillies, extra sauces, whatever you fancy.
- They’re easy to make and completely delicious to eat!

Equipment Needed
- Chopping board
- Vegetable knife
- Tin foil tray - or other suitable baking insert for air fryer. We buy tin foil tray multipacks from Amazon. They're really handy to have if you do a lot of air fryer cooking.
- Teaspoon
- Tablespoon
- Pestle and mortar
- Colander
- Mixing bowl
- Paper kitchen towel
- Air fryer – we use a Tefal air fryer (little update - we've swapped to a Ninja Foodi Max Dual Zone Air Fryer - the 9.5 litre two drawer cooking space is BRILLIANT when you're cooking for a family or making larger portions. And it makes cooking meat, chicken or fish and potatoes at the same time super easy!
- Tongs – to help remove the tin foil tray. I recommend getting some silicone tongs for air frying. They're really useful and don't scratch the air fryer non-stick coating.
Cooks Note! Now, you can make this entire recipe in the air fryer or you can fry your veggies on the hob and then add them to the chips later. It's up to you!
