How To Make Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate Drink

It’s super easy to make our warming chocolate drink, you’ll be curled up sipping from a cup in no time!

Step One – warm the milk

You can use either of the methods below to warm the milk. If you’re making hot chocolate for more than two people then it’s probably easier to warm the milk in a saucepan.

  • Pour the milk into a microwavable jug and heat on high in the microwave for around 1-2 minutes (or until it reaches your preferred temperature)

or…

  • Pour the required quantity of milk into a saucepan and heat on the hob over a low heat for 5-6 minutes or until the milk is the temperature you like.

Step Two – make up the hot chocolate

  • Make a paste with the hot chocolate powder in a cup – just add around 2 tsp of cold milk to the chocolate powder and mix into a paste.
  • Then pour the hot milk onto the paste slowly and mix well to combine.

Step Three – add the salted caramel sauce

  • Take a teaspoon of the salted caramel sauce and stir it into the hot milk, letting it melt into the chocolate drink as you stir.

Step Four – decorate your hot chocolate drink

  • If you’re making a special hot chocolate then decorate the top of the drink now – you can add whipped cream and decorate with chocolate flakes, edible glitter, marshmallows. Even add an indoor sparkler for the whole wow factor!
