How To Make Sausage Stir Fry

Our stir fry sausage recipe is super easy and you'll be enjoying dinner in no time!

Step One - make the sausage meatballs

  • Take a sharp knife and score through the sausage skin of each sausage.
  • Flip the sausage from the skin and then cut each sausage into four pieces.
  • You can roll these into balls using your hands or leave them rough shapes - it doesn't matter which.

Step Two - stir fry the sausage meatballs

  • Add half the sunflower oil to the wok and stir fry the sausage meatballs until they're browned all over.
  • Then tip in half the hoisin sauce and continue to cook the sausages, stirring often in the hoisin sauce. You need to cook them for at least 10 minutes or until the sausage meat is cooked through completely.
  • Once they're cooked through completely - tip them onto a plate and keep to one side whilst you stir fry the vegetables.

Step Three - stir fry the vegetables

  • Add the rest of the sunflower oil to the wok and briskly stir fry the vegetables for around 5 minutes, stirring often.

Step Three - add the sausage meatballs back to the wok

  • Tip the cooked sausage meatballs and the rest of the hoisin sauce back into the wok with the stir fried vegetables.
  • Continue to cook or a further 2-3 minutes and then serve straight away. We serve this with a couple of sachets of microwave egg fried rice, but you could have it with plain boiled rice or noodles.
