Seventh Generation Cleaning Products Review UK

Seventh Generation cleaning products have been used in America for almost 30 years and now they’ve launched them in the UK too. We love eco, natural cleaning products here at Daisies & Pie and try to use green cleaning products wherever possible, Seventh Generation products have impressive eco credentials so I was more than happy to give the product range a trial.

So… just how well do they clean? Let’s start with how well it worked in the bathroom and kitchen.

Seventh Generation Toilet Bowl Natural Cleaner

This had a really pleasant light scent a gently medicated pine type of scent – nothing overpowering or nasty. I did a quick squirt under the toilet rim, left it to work for around 5 minutes then gave a quick scrub with the toilet brush, the bowl cleaner foamed up well, cleaned well and left the toilet sparkling clean.

Seventh Generation All-Purpose Natural Cleaner

I used this to clean the sink, bath and tiles and I was really impressed. Firstly it’s entirely scent free – you cannot smell a thing, great for those with asthma and allergies! I sprayed liberally and let it sit a few minutes before wiping with a cloth and rinsing well with fresh water. It left the surfaces shiny and clean, with no real effort needed. We also used this in the kitchen and was super pleased with the results there too.

Look how well it cleaned the tiles! (the ripple pattern is the reflection of the window above)

Seventh Generation Glass & Surface Natural Cleaner

Again this had no scent whatsoever, which I really liked, window cleaning products normally have a highly chemical scent or are overly vinegary – this was neither and it cleaned really well, totally streak free. It was really easy to clean with and cut through greasy handprints on glass without an issue. We also used this to clean stainless steel splash back on the cooker and it left a lovely streak free surface.

Seventh Generation Washing Up Liquid

The washing up liquid was scent free, bubbled up nicely in the sink and cut through grease easily.

And just how did we do with the laundry products?

These are scent free, we especially love the cardboard packaging, you only need a small amount of the product, they bubble up nicely in the washing machine and they got clothes clean – even school uniforms with all manner of mess and dirt to deal with! My family all have sensitive skin and non of these products irritated them. A big thumbs up from me!

So what did with think of Seventh Generation?

Well weirdly it had never occurred to me to look for scent free products but I’m definitely a convert I love the fact my house now smells of my lovely scented candles or oils and not cleaning products. They cleaned well, I was especially impressed with the entire range, and now it’s available in the UK it’s definitely a product I’ll buy again.

Seventh Generation products are currently stocked in certain Tesco stores.
