How To Make Slow Cooker Hot Chocolate
You are going to just love how easy it is to make this delicious hot chocolate in the slow cooker, it literally takes just a couple of minutes to prepare.
Step 1
- Preheat the slow cooker on the low temperature setting.
Step 2
- Pour in the full fat milk
Step 3
- Pour in the double cream
Step 4
- Add in the broken up pieces of dark and milk chocolate. Just a little tip here – lower them in slowly otherwise you end up splashing milk all down yourself…
Step 5
- Cook on low for 2 hours.
- Whisk the chocolatey milk around every 30 minutes, this just helps the chocolate pieces to melt into the milk better and stops them sticking on the bottom.
How To Serve Slow Cooker Hot Chocolate
Once the hot chocolate is warmed simply ladle into mugs and top with the squirt cream, marshmallows and chocolate stars. I add just a dusting of vanilla sugar too so that they sparkle.
