Ingredients For Hot Honey And Lemon Drink

You’ll just need four ingredients to brew up a cup of soothing honey lemon tea.

  • Root Ginger – thumb sized piece of ginger – peeled and coarsely grated
  • Half a lemon – juiced
  • 1-2 tsp honey – if I’m under the weather I usually use Manuka honey for my honey and lemon drink
  • Boiling water – to fill up the cup

Note – this drink isn’t suitable for children under one year old because it contains honey which can cause botulism in babies and young children.

How To Make Honey And Lemon Drink

  • Put the kettle on to boil the water.

Step Two

  • Add the coarsely grated ginger to a cup.
  • Pour over the boiling water, filling the cup about 3/4 full.
  • Allow the ginger to steep in the boiling water for five minutes so that all the lovely gingery pulp flavours the hot water.
