Super easy Spicy Chicken Noodles recipe. A low cost easy meal idea with just a handful of ingredients and ready in only 30 minutes!

My kids just LOVE this quick noodle dish, so it’s something I do make a lot. I like how quick and easy everything is and that it’s packing vegetables into their diets.

You can use any noodles you like, just grab a pack of your favourite.

And when it comes to stir fry sauce, it’s super easy to make a homemade stir fry sauce or if you just don’t have time then use a shop bought ready made spicy stir fry sauce.

Such as simple, quick and easy dinner recipe.

Spicy Chicken Noodles Recipe

You can make our spicy chicken noodles recipe with just a handful of ingredients.

It’s a low cost family dinner recipe, that’s flavourful, filling and super easy to make. Plus it’s all ready in less than 30 minutes! So it’s great for busy weeknights.

Spicy Chicken Noodles Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tbs olive oil
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 pepper
  • 1 pack egg noodles

Ingredients for the homemade stir fry sauce

  • 1 lemon
  • 1 1/2 tbs olive oil
  • 2 tbs soy sauce
  • 2 tbs honey
  • 1 tsp curry powder

How to make spicy chicken noodles

It’s super easy to make this delicious chicken recipe

  • Stir fry the chicken strips – add 1/2 tbs of olive oil to a large frying pan or wok and stir fry the chicken strips for 7-8 minutes (or until cooked through properly). Then tip them onto a plate and leave to rest.
  • Stir fry the carrots and peppers – add the carrots and peppers to the pan and stir fry over a high heat for around 5 minutes.
  • Make the homemade stir fry sauce – get a bowl and tip in the olive oil, honey, soy sauce, lemon juice and curry powder and stir gently to mix all the ingredients together.
  • Add the chicken back to the pan – tip the cooked chicken strips back into the pan with the stir fried vegetables.

  • Tip in the stir fry sauce – pour the homemade stir fry sauce over the chicken and vegetables and continue to cook over a medium heat stirring often whilst you cook the noodles.
  • Cook the noodles – cook the egg noodles as per the packet instructions, they usually take around 4-5 minutes.
  • Toss the noodles – add the spicy chicken and noodles to a large bowl and toss everything together to mix all the flavours.

  • Serve – simply share the spicy chicken noodles between four bowls. I recommend serving this with a side of broccoli – fresh or frozen, whichever you find the most convenient to cook.

A quick and easy spicy chicken noodles recipe

Ingredients

For the spicy chicken noodles

  • 1/2 tbs olive oil 
  • 400g chicken breast strips
  • 2 carrots cut into matchsticks
  • 1 pepper cut into strips 
  • 4 nests of egg noodles

For the stir fry sauce

  • 1 tbs olive oil
  • 2 tbs soy sauce
  • 2 tbs honey
  • 1/2 lemon - juiced 
  • 1 tsp curry powder

Instructions

  1. Add 1/2 tbs olive oil to the frying pan or wok and stir fry the chicken strips for 7-8 minutes (or until cooked through properly)
  2. Remove the chicken from the pan and leave to rest on a plate.
  3. Add the carrots and peppers to the pan and stir fry over a high heat for around 5 minutes.
  4. Mix up the stir fry sauce - add the olive oil, honey, soy sauce, lemon juice and curry powder to a bowl and stir to mix it all together.
  5. Add the chicken back to the pan with the vegetables and pour over the stir fry sauce - cook over a high heat whilst you cook the noodles.
  6. Cook the noodles as per the packet instructions - they usually take around 4-5 minutes - drain the noodles and set to the side.
  7. Put the noodles and chicken stir fry into a large bowl and toss everything together.
  8. To serve just divide between four bowl and tuck in.
