Equipment Needed 

  • Air Fryer – we use a Ninja Foodi Max Dual Zone Air Fryer – the 9.5 litre two drawer cooking space is BRILLIANT when you’re cooking for a family or like to cook bigger portions. And it makes cooking meat, chicken or fish and potatoes at the same time super easy!) – alternatively you can bake or fry the hash browns.
  • Saucepan – for making scrambled eggs
  • Frying pan – for the bacon (or you can grill it)
  • Chopping board
  • Vegetable knife
  • Tablespoon
  • American measuring cups – or use a tea cup

Breakfast Burrito Ingredients 

Everything you need to make a DELICIOUS breakfast burrito.

Ingredients needed for breakfast burritos including; bbq sauce, salsa, scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, avocado
  • 4 soft flour tortillas
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 8 hash browns
  • 2 avocado – peeled and diced

Extra Ingredients or Mix-Ins To Try

And of course, this is your breakfast so feel free to include any extra ingredients you like to eat. Things like….

  • Mushrooms
  • Breakfast sausage
  • Diced potatoes – or breakfast potatoes
  • Green onion
  • Tomatoes
  • Spinach
  • Bell pepper
  • Black beans
  • Sour cream
  • Different cheeses – try Monterey Jack cheese
  • Any of your favourite sauce – BBQ, Ketchup, Hot Sauce

How To Make Breakfast Burritos 

You’ll LOVE how simple these flavor packed burritos are to make

Step One – cook the hash browns

Step Two – cook the bacon

  • Whilst the hash browns are cooking, grill or fry the bacon to your liking.

Step Three – make the scrambled eggs

  • Make the scrambled eggs – warm the olive oil (or butter) in a saucepan or skillet over a medium heat, whisk all the eggs together in a jug, season with salt and black pepper, then pour into the saucepan, stir and fold gently until all scrambled together.
  • Then turn off the heat, add the grated cheese and stir it through the scrambled eggs so that it melts into the eggs.

Step Four – put together the breakfast burritos

  • Chop the avocados into halves, scoop out the flesh, discard the stone, and roughly chop.
  • Make up the breakfast burritos – warm the tortillas, then add eggs, bacon, hash browns and avocado to each tortilla – top with your favourite sauce then wrap, cut and eat. Simple.

Swap the wrap – switch the white flour wrap for a wholegrain, wholemeal or seeded wrap.

Go gluten-free – make these gluten free – just use gluten free wraps and be sure that the hash browns and any other ingredients used are labelled as gluten-free too.

What to do with leftovers – we recommend just making what you need, as leftover breakfast burritos don’t tend to keep that well.
