Now if there's one thing we all love here it's a ploughman's lunch, preferably in a beer-garden sat by the river on a hot summers day...
My favourite ham, cheese and ploughman pickle, sandwiched deliciously between two slices of bread. Good bread, proper tasty, thick cut bread from the bakery.

What To Serve With A Ploughman's Sandwich
When I make these yummy ham and cheese sandwiches for lunch I like to serve them with a little bowl of salt and vinegar kettle crisps, and some coleslaw or sweet pickles and if I'm making them for taking on a picnic, I usually add some homemade sausage rolls too.

Cooks Note! If you're making sandwiches ahead of time, then to stop them going soggy, be sure to spread the butter right to the edges, and thoroughly dry the lettuce. Also, when I'm adding tomatoes to sandwich to be eaten later, I usually remove the seeds.
