Is Trail Mix Healthy?

Trail Mix is a healthy snack choice as our quick and easy recipe is loaded with good stuff!

  • Dark chocolate which is rich in antioxidants.
  • Pumpkin seeds which are a good source of protein and unsaturated fatty acids.
  • Sunflower seeds - a good source of vitamin E and contain various minerals - magnesium, manganese, copper and selenium.
  • Walnuts - which have lots of health benefits and are a good source of protein and vitamin E.

One thing to keep in mind though is that nuts and seeds do contain a lot of calories, so snacking with portion control in mind is a good thing here!
