How To Make Turkey Fried Rice
You are going to love how easy this turkey and rice recipe is! It's a great way to use up thanksgiving leftovers or Christmas turkey.
Step One - shred the leftover turkey
- Take the leftover turkey and shred it into small pieces. The smaller it is the quicker it will reheat properly and thoroughly.
Step Two - cook the rice, peas and sweetcorn
- Put the rice, peas and sweetcorn into a saucepan, fill with boiling water from the kettle.
- Add a pinch of salt if using, then pop the lid on the saucepan and bring the water back up to the boil.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for around 10-12 minutes (or whatever the cooking instructions on your rice packet state)
- Once cooked, drain using a colander.
Step Three - stir fry the shredded turkey - whilst the rice is cooking
- Add a tablespoon of sesame oil into a wok or large frying pan over a medium heat.
- Tip the shredded turkey into the wok and cook over a medium heat – stirring often so it doesn’t stick – make sure the turkey is thoroughly reheated and piping hot throughout.

Step Four - make the turkey fried rice
- Add another splash of oil to the wok – tip in the hot, cooked rice, peas and sweetcorn from the colander. Stir the beaten eggs mixture through the hot rice.
- Stir fry everything together in the wok over a high heat until cooked through. Season with soy sauce to your liking.
Step Five - serve the turkey fried rice
- Divide between four bowls, serve scattered with chopped spring onions and more soy sauce for people to add themselves.
