We’ve been trying out a range of gorgeous wellbeing products because now more than ever focussing on our health and wellbeing has never been more important

With all that’s going on in the world currently, focussing on the health and wellbeing of myself and my family are top of my agenda.

That’s why we’ve been testing out some lovely wellbeing products.

Practicing Self Care

We’ve been doing all the usual as I’m sure you have too.

Eating well, getting some exercise, getting fresh air, talking, keeping things positive, light and fun and making sure to take time out alone to relax and to focus on self care.

As you know feeling good and doing happy things is very important to me and we do regular “Self Care Months” filled with nice, uplifting ideas and activities just to help stay positive.

You can find our self care activities here – just a selection of feel good ideas from taking a walk, to buying yourself flowers, homemade spa night to relaxing with hot chocolate or curling in a chair with a new book.

Wellbeing Products

As part of my focus on wellbeing and self care we’re always happy to try out new wellbeing products, lotion, potions anything that makes us feel good. This month we’ve tried out the following…

Wellbeing Products – Green People Everyday Hand Care Set

wellbeing products - Green People everyday hand wash and everyday hand cream on a marble counter top

Well – now washing our hands many, many times a day is a thing, it’s important to look after the skin on your hands to protect it from becoming dry, chapped and sore.

The Green People Hand Care set contains…

  • Scent Free Everyday Hand Wash 300ml – the hand wash is fragrance free and is made with organic Aloe Vera.
  • Scent Free Everyday Hand Cream 300ml – the hand cream is natural and fragrance free and contains Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids

The hand care set is vegan and suitable for sensitive skin. We found this product really good, the formula is gentle and even for regular hand washing it didn’t dry our skin.

The hand cream was more of a lotion than a thick heavy, greasy cream – it’s suitable for applying to your hands several times a day and really protects skin in-between hand washing.

Wellbeing Products – BetterYou Magnesium Flakes

I’ve used Magnesium bath flakes for a while now – I mean what’s not to love about a mineral you can absorb through your skin whilst relaxing in a nice warm bath?

BetterYou Magnesium supplements state they help with natural relaxation, aid sleep, help with muscle tension, reduce fatigue and boost feeling of general wellness.

The Magnesium bath flakes are super easy to use just tip into your bath and swirl them around and sink into the bath for a nice soak.

I often use magnesium bath flakes to help with soothing tired muscles and also if I’ve been feeling over tired or run down, particularly during times that have been stressful. They’re ideal for helping replenishing the body with essential magnesium.

Best of all I find my skin is super soft after taking a magnesium bath.

Skin:Genius – Skincare

Skin:Genius face wash, moisturiser and purifying gel on a marble counter top with a cotton face cloth and lavender sachet

Taking good care of your skin is important, especially when you’re a teenager and can often suffer with oily skin or spots, mainly due to hormone fluctuations. My teenage daughter LOVES to have good skin and so she was happy to try out the Skin:Genius skincare bundle.

The Skin:Genius Ultimate Genius Bundle contains lovely skincare products, each one specially formulated to help spots and oily acne-prone skin.

The products are full of anti-oxidants that help sooth and heal skin and contain organic and natural botanicals that are proven to control bacteria. This is a gorgeous skin care routine for teenagers and worked really well on my daughters skin.

Firstly she started her skin care routine by washing my face using the Skin:Genius “Best Cleanse Forever” foaming face wash, splashing water over her face and then applying with her hands and washing her face.

She found this enough to make her skin feel really clean and fresh, but if you’d like a more exfoliating face wash experience then wipe the face wash from your face using an organic cotton wash cloth.

Once she’d patted her face dry with a soft clean towel she applied the Skin:Genius “Soothe Operator” moisturiser. She only needed a light application of this and found it to leave the drier areas of her skin moisturised without leaving the more oily prone patches of skin feeling greasy. She loved the light fresh smell of the moisturiser too. Big thumbs up.

The final step of her skincare routine included using the Skin:Genius ‘All’s Well That Gels Well’ just applied to the areas of her face that are a little spotty or where pores are most visible.

She left this on overnight and found it to reduce any swelling or inflammation on spots and helped reduce pore visibility.

She found the Skin:Genius skincare products included in this bundle really good and would definitely buy them again herself. Not only did she love the fresh scent but she loved how they made her skin feel and that they helped tackle spot breakouts, she couldn’t recommend them enough!
